GOOD Mission Statement
To include citizens with disabilities and their natural support systems in the
active formulation of public policy that:
Stretches the boundaries of what is possible in Alabama;
Builds communities in which no one is segregated and everyone belongs;
Forges new alliances that embrace our diversity;
Advocates for opportunities and rights;
Eradicates injustices and inequities;
Researches and establishes best practices;
Disseminates knowledge and information to and through consumers;
Advances progressive legislation;
Promotes excellence in services through consumer satisfaction; and,
Incorporates inclusion and participation in Alabama.
